MOM-TO-MOM SWAP MEET
When is the Mom-to-Mom Swap Meet?
Sunday, May 25th from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in Unionville, location to be confirmed.
What is the Mom-to-Mom Swap Meet?
Got stuff that's great but just doesn't seem to sell or you just can't be bothered to sell it a piece at a time? Why not get together and do all your second hand bargain hunting in one central location? Meet up with others who want to clear out their closets, book shelves, sporting goods collection, left over craft or building materials, garden tools, knick knacks and unwanted household items, toys, games etc. at the Mom-to- Mom Swap meet. Where else can you walk away with a new wardrobe? Or maybe a new stack of books to read just in time for summer vacation? Who knows what treasures you will find?
How Does it Work?
In order to participate, you will need to register and pay $12 via PayPal (link below) or $10 cash in person. After that, there is NO COST! All transactions at the SWAP MEET are strictly made by trading, bartering or simply giving away unwanted items to a person who wants them! No money is exchanged at the swap.
What's the catch? You need to bring things to trade!
What Can I Trade?
Feel free to trade adult clothing, books, household items like art, knick knacks, decorations, small appliances, jewellery, bed linens, furniture- whatever you want to get rid of. Things like high chairs, baby seats, breast pumps and helmets are prohibited for safety/ hygiene reasons.
You are welcome to trade children's clothing, toys, books, games etc. as well. You may wish to trade your homemade crafts as well. !
What If I Don't Have Anything to Trade?
If you simply don't have anything like clothing or books to trade but would like to participate, see what else you can offer. Maybe you'd like to bring a fresh pie, cookies or flowers from your garden to trade. Maybe you can offer a service like yard work, grass cutting in exchange for goods. Of course this is something that you would have to workout with each other. Deals are made by the individuals an in no way are upheld by the organizer of the event.
Is there an Admission Fee? Can I Just Pay at the Door?
No, this is more of a community type of event so you cannot pay at the door. All participants must pay the Registration/ Participation Fee beforehand.
